Hi David and all,

I have been guilted into providing an update, so will attempt it at least.

After working for a dot.com for all of 2000, I was laid off at the end of January and have been a house-parent since then. Except for the little issue of income, I quite enjoy being able to concentrate on parenting. With an option strike price of 38, re-priced to $1, my options were still out of the money when they expired. It's a wild world for internet businesses.

Other than that, I bought a small house last year in June, and have spent a fair bit of time on house and yard maintenance. We visited Lugano in May and spent time with quite a few old friends, and I was even rewarded with a visit from Michael Fromberg. Who, as some of you may know, will soon be a father. I spent a few days in New Hampshire at my brother's in July, and took Julia to Colorado for a week at Thanksgiving. She tried skiing for the first time, and as generally happens with these things, I didn't get to ski at all. I was too busy pulling her up the bunny hill.

The only really interesting stuff going on in my life is actually what goes on in Julia's. She turned 6 last February, and has attended kindergarten this school year. Besides all kinds of self-made activities, she does ballet and ice skating. Lately she is hooked on junior Monopoly and walks around the house pretending to be pregnant. I'm trying to give her a balanced picture of what it means to be pregnant....just in case she hasn't got over this phase by the time she hits puberty.

Greetings to all, and the photos are terrific.

Carolyn
