Ian dropped me a note indicating that you would be interested in getting an update from various people who had worked in Vienna ID.

I dropped out of ID a while ago, and contracting even further before that - making a move into product management. I really enjoy the work - spanning as it does both technical and commercial roles.

I'm currently working in telecommunications for Vodafone - one of the world's largest mobile operators. My role is running the smartphone team - so I get to look at the latest all singing, all dancing, and (almost) make you a cappucino, type devices and try to come up with some ideas for software that is both useful and money making!

Home wise, I now have three kids - Rebecca 5, Harry 3.5, and Ellie 1. This does not leave me much (any?) free time - certainly not enough to indulge my passion for microlighting. Still based out of Oxfordshire, though if we ever make any serious money, Miles and I are planning to buy an old farmhouse with an airstrip.

Not seen any of the ID guys for a while though still keep in contact with Mary Scarvalone and Ian (planning on getting him drunk when he gets back to the UK in early July this year). If you are still in touch with Ross Moncrieff tell him we have STILL not fixed our kitchen (he'll know what I mean). Sadly I lost my organiser with everyone's contact details on it about a year ago and hence have out of contact for a while.

Hope you are all well, would love to hear what everyone else is up to.

Regards

Sue Powell
